🎉 10 év. Egy közösség. Rengeteg történet. ❤️
10 évvel ezelőtt indultunk el ezen az úton. Az első négy évben nyári táborokat szerveztünk, majd 2020-ban megszületett a Tarisznya Tanoda, amely azóta is otthont ad a tanulásnak 📚, a fejlődésnek 🌱 és ami talán még ennél is fontosabb, az emberi kapcsolatoknak. 🤝
A képen az első önkéntes csapatunk egy része látható, akik annak idején az első „Tarisznyás” csapattal kezdték a munkát. És hogy mennyire kiszámíthatatlanul szép dolgokat tud teremteni egy közösség? ❤️ Az egyik önkéntesünk a Tarisznyában ismerte meg a feleségét, ma pedig már egy csodálatos, hat hónapos kisbabájuk is van. 👶✨
Köszönjük mindenkinek, aki az elmúlt 10 évben velünk volt. 🍂 És ez még csak a kezdet! Idén ősszel egy különleges ünnepségsorozattal készülünk, ahol együtt ünnepeljük az elmúlt 10 év történeteit, sikereit és azokat az embereket, akik mindezt lehetővé tették. Hamarosan érkezünk a részletekkel! 🎉

Ten years ago, we began this journey. During the first four years, we organized summer camps, and in 2020 we launched the Learning Center, a place that has since become a home for learning 📚, personal growth 🌱, and, perhaps most importantly, meaningful human connections. 🤝
This photo shows part of our very first volunteer team, who started working with the very first Tarisznya group. 💙 And this is a perfect example of how beautiful and unexpected the impact of a community can be. ❤️ One of our volunteers met his wife through Tarisznya, and today they are the proud parents of a wonderful six-month-old baby. 👶✨
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey over the past 10 years. 🍂 And we’re just getting started! This autumn, we’ll celebrate this milestone with a special anniversary series of events, looking back on the past decade and celebrating the incredible people who made it all possible. Táborunkban minden nap egy új történelmi korszakot fedezünk fel. 📚✨ Az első állomásunk az őskor volt, ahol megismerkedtünk az őskori emberek mindennapi életével, szokásaival és fennmaradt emlékeivel. 🏕️🪨
Külön figyelmet fordítottunk a magyarországi őskori leletekre és lelőhelyekre, hogy a gyerekek megtudják: hazánk területén is éltek emberek már több tízezer évvel ezelőtt. 🇭🇺🦣
A sok érdekes történet, játékos feladat és közös beszélgetés során életre kelt a múlt, és együtt fedeztük fel, hogyan éltek elődeink. 💚😊

At our Tanoda Summer Camp, each day we explore a different period of history. 📚✨ Our first stop was Prehistory, where we learned about the daily lives of prehistoric people, their way of living, and the fascinating traces they left behind. 🏕️🪨
We paid special attention to prehistoric archaeological sites and discoveries in Hungary, helping the children discover that people lived in the territory of present-day Hungary tens of thousands of years ago. 🇭🇺🦣
Through exciting stories, interactive activities, and group discussions, history came alive, and together we discovered how our distant ancestors lived. 💚😊
We can’t wait to see which historical era we’ll travel to tomorrow! ⏳🚀

A gyerekek egy rajzos önbemutatás során meséltek magukról: megmutatták, mi fontos számukra, mit szeretnek, miben ügyesek, és mi teszi őket egyedivé. ✨
❤️🎒 A rajzok remek beszélgetéseket indítottak el, segítettek jobban megismerni egymást, és még közelebb hozták egymáshoz a táborozókat. 🤝💬

At our summer camp, we didn’t just introduce ourselves with words—we also let our creativity speak! 😊
Through a drawing-based self-portrait activity, the children shared who they are, what matters to them, what they enjoy, what they are good at, and what makes each of them unique. ✨
❤️🎒 Their drawings sparked wonderful conversations, helped everyone get to know one another better, and brought the campers even closer together. 🤝💬
🙏 We are sincerely grateful to the Badur Foundation, the Egyesek Youth Association, and all our dedicated volunteers for their invaluable support.

A gyerekek mindenre kíváncsiak voltak: milyen volt a gyermekkora, hogyan nézett ki a falu régen, mi volt a kedvenc játéka, mikor kezdett rajzolni, miért szeret önkénteskedni, és milyen tanácsot adna a mai gyerekeknek. 🌱
Az ilyen beszélgetések hidat építenek a generációk között. A gyerekek nemcsak érdekes történeteket hallanak, hanem azt is megtapasztalják, mennyi bölcsességet, szeretetet és életörömöt hordoznak azok, akik hosszú évek óta közösségünk részei. 💙

The children were curious about everything—from what her childhood was like and how the village has changed over the years to when she started drawing, why she enjoys volunteering, and what advice she would give to today’s children. 🌱
These conversations create meaningful connections across generations. They remind us that every older person carries a lifetime of experiences, memories, and wisdom that can inspire the next generation in wonderful ways. 💙

About Us
We run an Afterschool Program (Tanoda) in Litke, Nógrád County Hungary, where we offer educational and recreational opportunities for socio-economically disadvantaged Roma children. We organize computer courses, arts and crafts, a drama club, group study projects and many other sports and study activities with the leadership of Bandi Oláh, a beloved local community member who lives with a disability.
Join the Team
Regardless of background or education, we welcome everyone to join our diverse team. There are many different ways you can help and participate in our work (program organization, working with children, administration, fundraising, etc.). Your volunteering experience may contribute to your professional development. We look forward to your application!
Transparency
We rely mostly on crowdfunding support and on small grants. The funding is used for the salary of employees, including András Oláh, and for the Tanoda programs, community programs and a summer camp.
