We had an amazing atmosphere here this afternoon: paper, scissors, and creativity took over as we hosted a paper airplane-making afternoon and competition! 📝✂️
Of course, after all the folding, we couldn’t miss out on the Great Tanoda Airplane Race! 🏁 We witnessed some truly exciting moments!
Congratulations to all our little designers! The most important part, as always, was that we laughed a lot and spent great time together. 🥰❤️

A Tanoda legutóbbi foglalkozásán a hazai tájakra kalandoztunk, és megismertük azokat a csodálatos állatokat, akikkel akár egy kirándulás során is találkozhatunk! 🇭🇺✨
🌳 Meglestük a ravasz rókákat és a büszke szarvasokat, akik az erdő mélyén találnak otthonra. 🌊 Megismertük a játékos vidrákat, a hangos békákat, a kecses gémeket és a színes vadkacsákat. 🦊🦆
A gyerekek nagy lelkesedéssel meséltek saját élményeikről is, és megtanultuk, miért fontos, hogy vigyázzunk a környezetünkre és ezekre a különleges élőlényekre. 🌍🌱

In our latest Tanoda session, we ventured into our local landscapes and discovered the wonderful animals we might encounter during a hike! 🇭🇺✨
🌳 We caught a glimpse of the cunning foxes and proud deer that make their homes deep in the forest. 🌊 We also learned about playful otters, loud frogs, graceful herons, and colorful wild ducks. 🦊🦆
The children shared their own experiences with great enthusiasm, and we discussed why it’s so important to protect our environment and these special creatures. 🌍🌱

The tree planting was made possible through a grant from Jane Goodall Roots & Shoots 🙏🌍 In our project, “Bird-Friendly Saplings – Creating Habitats for Biodiversity,” planting the trees was only the beginning 🌱🐦 — because caring for the trees, taking responsibility for nature, and strengthening community cooperation are what truly matter most! 🤝💚🌳
Every new leaf 🍃 reminds us that together we can do so much for nature and for the future 🌎☀️🕊️

About Us
We run an Afterschool Program (Tanoda) in Litke, Nógrád County Hungary, where we offer educational and recreational opportunities for socio-economically disadvantaged Roma children. We organize computer courses, arts and crafts, a drama club, group study projects and many other sports and study activities with the leadership of Bandi Oláh, a beloved local community member who lives with a disability.
Join the Team
Regardless of background or education, we welcome everyone to join our diverse team. There are many different ways you can help and participate in our work (program organization, working with children, administration, fundraising, etc.). Your volunteering experience may contribute to your professional development. We look forward to your application!
Transparency
We rely mostly on crowdfunding support and on small grants. The funding is used for the salary of employees, including András Oláh, and for the Tanoda programs, community programs and a summer camp.
